As Communications Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and executing strategic communications that advance EPCOR’s business priorities, strengthen our brand, and build trust with stakeholders. You’ll be part of a small, high-performing Public Affairs team where collaboration is essential, versatility is valued, and every contribution has impact.

Reporting to the Public Affairs Director, you’ll bring strong organizational and projectmanagement skills to oversee workflows, manage timelines, and ensure quality and consistency across all communications. You’ll thrive in a lean, agile environment by listening deeply, building strong relationships, adapting to shifting priorities, and communicating with clarity and empathy. A balance of strategic insight, hands-on execution, creativity, and sound judgment is essential.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute strategic communications initiatives that advance business objectives and strengthen EPCOR’s brand and reputation.
  • Collaborate across teams to plan and support external campaigns, customer communications, community engagement, partnerships, public meetings, and highimpact activations.
  • Develop and oversee highquality, audiencefocused communications materials that align with brand standards.
  • Support regulatory communications, including content development for filings, publicfacing requirements, and community outreach.
  • Manage coordinated communications during public issues, operational upsets, and emerging risks.
  • Lead and support media relations efforts, including story development, material preparation, proactive outreach, and relationshipbuilding with journalists and industry influencers.
  • Work crossfunctionally to ensure message alignment, integrated decisionmaking, and effective communications support.
  • Monitor trends, stakeholder insights, and market dynamics to recommend forwardlooking communications strategies.
  • Provide project management, oversee workflows, and contribute to team development and continuous improvement.
  • Track, analyze, and report measurable outcomes related to brand reputation, audience engagement, and corporate performance.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience across external communications, internal communications, and media relations.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences.
  • Experience managing issues and navigating complex or regulated environments.
  • Strong advising, collaboration, and relationshipbuilding skills across teams and levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop multichannel communications strategies with clear metrics and measurable outcomes.
  • A proactive, adaptable mindset with the ability to lead work independently and support a small team where roles are dynamic.
